[65] bang bang
[action, all week]
[Oh, no. Dist is too jaded from Thanksgiving to drink anything the town encourages him to. And being droned? Not that bad; it seems to wear off daily just long enough to give him a chance to drink, and when he doesn't it puts him under again. He can risk it when he gets sick of the cycle, after all. His house is full of drones; he has no reason to protect them.
So, citizens of Mayfield, Saphir Neis is quite happily walking the streets, making pleasant conversation, and generally shooting at everyone and everything(knives are just so last year) with the pistols he acquired a few months ago. You might find him:
a: at the General Store, buying more bullets.
b: generally around town, in the park, in the library, going about his dronely duties.
c: for those with some CR, he may just drop by your house to have a nice personal chat! And to shoot you! After all, isn't that what friends are for?]

Friday - B
She stops into the library just long enough to count as having done her job, and of course, the first thing she sees is one of the other librarians shooting people. After dying yesterday, she has long since passed hesitating over anything. She strides over, approaching him from behind before she speaks.
Talking to the drones normally never works, but Nina can't help hoping that speaking their language might. At the very least, it's better for everyone if his attention is focused on her, anyway. Her own gun is trained on him, before she speaks.]
Excuse me. Mr.--Neis, right? You can't shoot anyone inside. It's bad manners. Besides, it's very noisy, and this is a library. You're being way too loud.

He cannot be talked out of this, in drone language or any other. Lancer couldn't, Johan couldn't, Edgar couldn't, and Dist can't either. There's only one way she can stop this.
As he's reloading, Nina raises her own guns. She pulls the trigger and fires, a loud crack erupting through the air. She isn't aiming for a fatal shot; Nina intends only to hit Dist in the shoulder.]

[Dist raises his gun and fires off a shot; it goes wild, because his dominant arm has been taken out, but still.]

Nina is breathing hard. She had hoped, with his dominant arm incapacitated, he would be able to be disarmed. But instead, he's still dangerous.
She can't let him do this. He's not himself, anyway. She can't let him keep hurting people.
But she doesn't want to hurt him, either. This feels so different than when she shot Black Mage. The world almost seems to spin around her. Only Dist and his gun are perfectly clear in her vision.]
I don't know if the real you can hear me right now. But if you can, know that I will understand if you can't forgive what I'm going to do. It's unforgivable.
[It feels like an eternity between saying those words and pulling the trigger. But it's only a few seconds. There's another loud crack as this time, Nina aims center mass.]
no subject
As he's lying on the floor, though, he's laughing, manic. Blood is foaming up around his mouth, but he doesn't seem to notice.]

Directly at Dist's head. The look on her face is wild, and animal, and terrified.]

It's finally over.
It's over, because she killed him. Did it have to be done? He was on a rampage. He wouldn't have been talked out of it. But his death was so messy, so much more painful than it had to be, because she couldn't bring herself to fire a fatal shot the first time.
It's so different from killing Black Mage. That was over with one loud crack. This was three shots and blood all over the carpet. It takes a long time for Nina to realize that her hands have stopped shaking and she's stopped breathing hard.
She lowers the gun. Well, the least she can do is properly handle the body, rather than leaving it as a spectacle. She will take it someplace secluded it and bury it or cover it with a tarp. Even if people come back, leaving him out to rot like this is simply wrong.]
B
Hiya Pinky!
no subject
[This is totally normal behavior for Dist. Absolutely.]
no subject
You doing okay, Pinky?
no subject
[Hey, is that a gun? Why is he pulling it?]
no subject
Don't even think about it, or you're gonna be eating that gun.
no subject
[And firing a shot! Or two, maybe.]

[One arm out of commission? He'll just switch to the other! And at point-blank range, he's a lot more dangerous.]

Muthafucker!

[Dist looks down at his arm, canting his head a little bit as though he can't quite figure out why it's chewed partially off. It's not like he can feel it. Can drones even be confused?
Either way, it's a break in his focus.]

Pops it into his mouth.
And chews the gun. Crunching it to bits.]
You can take that conduct
and shove it up your ass.
Gun needs salt.
no subject
[And what can you do when both of your arms are taken out and you have no weapons? Fucking charge anyway. He'll figure something out.]

no subject
B or C?
[But there he is. In all his shiny Corvette glory.]

[Dist taps on the window, all smiles.]
no subject
[He rolls the window down, absently flicking his hologram into place. It's easy to forget sometimes, that humans like human faces to talk to.]
Dist? It's me.
no subject
[He rests his elbows on the window frame, a gun dangling absently from his fingers.]
no subject
[The hologram's eyes drop to the weapon.]
Why are you armed?
no subject
[Dist points the gun at Sideswipe's hologram.]
no subject
Dist... I'm a robot. I can't ingest milk.
no subject
[It seems that drone!Dist can't quite remember that Sideswipe is actually a robot, because when he shoots he aims for the hologram rather than anything that might be considered actually "vital."]
no subject
What--! What's the matter with you!

What is the matter with you!

[Dist's voice is off. Too cheerful, too loyal to Mayfield. He's clearly not in his right mind.]

I thought your name was Dist.
A: Killdrone CR is still CR, right?
((OOC: Should we flip a coin? I'm okay with Spy dying, of course, but he's a career assassin who plays dirty.))
totally counts |D

On the contrary, I'm killing you quickly so you won't suffer! Now, hold still so I can stab you for good this time!
